THE SCENIC PRESENCE OF THE BODY/VOICE
The training created by Ana Woolf is the result of a long journey of study and research, meetings with masters from East and West (Tadashi Suzuki, Eugenio Barba, Julia Varley) and shared work, as member of the artistic and pedagogical staff of the International School of Theatrical Anthropology (ISTA), directed by Eugenio Barba.
The training is psychophysical. It is through the muscle and overcoming fatigue and technique. It is body and voice and mind. It is the search for an organized body with a bios that does not die, through the acquisition and mastery of a technique as a way, as a way of seeing a world.
The search for a path of personal research that goes beyond the artistic dimension and considers it as an instrument to improve the condition of the human being, which is part of the revolution made by the Great Theatrical Reform of the 20th century, which proposed to think technique as ethics and ethics as technique (Stanislavski, Jacques Copeau).

« Every day we have to open new doors with which we struggle, through which we crawl.
New places to crawl, to dance, to stay, to walk.»
Ana Woolf
« I discovered in that precise moment what I truly possessed : the training. In whatever room or country, whether I spoke the language or not, whether it was hot or cold, whether I was accompanied or alone, I possessed a value, a wealth, as an actress and human being, with which I could defend myself in any kind of sad or painful circumstance.»
